The Roadmap to Assess Meaningful Participation (RAMP) certification course provides intensive instruction on using the RAMP as a participation-based assessment. The RAMP process includes guidance for collecting information about family priorities, everyday activities and routines, and child interests; a participation-based observation of the child and family engaged in a real-life activity related to a family priority; and guidance for developing participation-based IFSP outcomes. This course includes synchronous and asynchronous sessions.

Prerequisites for this course:

  • Early Intervention Series: Natural Learning Environment Practices
  • Early Intervention Series: Coaching
  • Early Intervention Series:  Family-Centered Helgiving Practices (Relational)

Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:  

  • Collect information from families about child interests and opportunities for interacting in the family's typical activities and routines.
  • Conduct a participation-based observation of real-life activity or routine for the purpose of planning meaningful and functional interventions.
  • Develop participation-based outcomes that promote child engagement and learning in family activities and routines.
